Who operates this website
Farewell Index (farewellindex.com) is published by Crescendo Assets. Crescendo Assets is a company registered in the United States. It has no Australian Business Number (ABN). Contact: contact@farewellindex.com.
Information only
Farewell Index is an independent information directory about funeral services in Sydney and New South Wales. It is not a funeral director and does not arrange, book or take payment for funerals. The content is general information, not legal, financial or other professional advice. For urgent arrangements, contact a funeral director directly.
Listings and published prices
Listings are compiled from public sources: providers’ own websites, the Funerals Australia professional directory, the NSW Health register of mortuary premises and NSW Government guidance. A listing is not an endorsement, recommendation or partnership, and does not confirm a business’s quality, availability or current details.
Published prices are figures a business advertised on the date shown. They can change, may apply only to certain areas or packages, and are not quotes. Ask each business for a written, itemised quote before you agree to anything.
Payment does not change the order
No business can pay to change its position in our listings, the prices we publish or the way price comparisons are sorted. Any sponsored content will be labelled “Sponsored” and kept separate from editorial listings.
Enquiries
If you send a comparison brief, we handle it as described in the privacy notice. We share it with funeral providers only if you tick the separate, optional consent box. Sending an enquiry does not create a booking or an agreement with any provider, and a reply, quote or introduction is not guaranteed.
Corrections
If something is wrong, email contact@farewellindex.com with the page address and the official source. Businesses can ask us to correct their listing at any time, free of charge.
Other websites and trade marks
Links to provider and government websites are provided for convenience; those sites have their own terms and privacy policies. Business names and trade marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the businesses listed.
Accuracy and your rights
We take care to record information accurately and to date it, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or current. Check important details with the business before relying on them. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. This version was published on 5 November 2026. The United States section of Farewell Index has its own terms.
